What started as two people searching for the perfect gift turned into Canada’s most loved homegrown candle brand. This is our story.
A gift that
didn’t exist yet
It started with a simple problem. Two people deeply in love, searching for something meaningful to give each other — something warm, personal, and Canadian. But no matter where they looked, nothing felt right.
Every candle they found was either mass-produced overseas, filled with chemicals they couldn’t pronounce, or just… soulless. They wanted something that smelled like home. Something that felt like a warm hug on a cold Canadian evening.
So they decided to make it themselves.
What started as a pot of wax on a kitchen stove, a few fragrance oils, and a whole lot of trial and error — quickly became something neither of them expected. Friends wanted them. Family wanted them. Strangers at the farmers market wanted them.
CXNDLX was born — not from a business plan, but from love.

to Canada’s homes
The Search That Started It All
Two people in love couldn’t find the perfect candle to gift each other — so they decided to make one. Late nights in the kitchen, testing scents, pouring wax, and falling in love all over again with every batch.
Friends & Family Fall in Love
They gifted their first candles to friends and family for the holidays. The response was overwhelming — everyone wanted more. “Can I buy some?” became the question that changed everything.
CXNDLX is Born
The brand officially launched. The name CXNDLX — a creative play on “candles” — was born from their love of both candles and Canada. Clean, minimal, and unmistakably Canadian.
First Farmers Market
Their first public market sold out in under 3 hours. Customers kept coming back for more. The “Canadian Wilderness” scent became an instant fan favourite — it still is today.
Taking CXNDLX Online
The website launched and orders started coming in from coast to coast. From British Columbia to Newfoundland — Canadians everywhere were finally lighting up their homes with CXNDLX.

Every single candle is still hand-poured in small batches. Still made with clean, natural ingredients. Still made with the same love that started it all — two people and a dream of creating something beautiful for the world.
